Aidan Congleton is a senior in Political Science and International Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Aidan's research is focused on the political economy of developing and middle-income countries, as well as broader industrial policy globally. Aidan's recent work focuses on the political and economic outcomes of high-speed rail development, comparing levels of government involvement and outcomes between case examples.
Outside of CIRA, Aidan has served a research role with the Institute for Research on Poverty, and as a congressional intern for congressman Mark Pocan.
Aidan is a local Wisconsinite, hailing from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and has a strong sense of both local and international identity. Aidan enjoys travel, both domestic and international, always seeking new adventures and experiences that enhance and inform his outlook.
